The cost of buying tickets online for concerts at the Montana Expopark is about to go down. The Cascade County Commissioners on Thursday unanimously approved the motion to change the ticketing provider for the Expopark to "Vision One ShoWare." The new company already provides service for the Mansfield Theater, The University of Montana, Lewis and Clark County and Fergus County. Commissioner Joe Briggs explained, "A $27 ticket ends up costing $35.62 when purchased online through Ticket Master. With ShoWare, on the other hand, that same ticket would cost $30.50. So there is a $5.12 difference on a $27 ticket which is obviously quite significant as a percentage basis." Briggs went on to say that the box office charge for a ticket will increase by 50 cents with the new provider. County officials are considering using ticket kiosk machines, similar to ATMs, at other locations throughout the state to make the ticketing process easier. The new contract goes into effect on April 1st. |

Rams Head Tavern"Sweet!" is the word I most often hear from our customers the first time they log onto the ShoWare ticketing system. And I have to agree. From the beginning of the sale to the final accounting at the end of the night, ShoWare is so much more user friendly than the system we used previously. |
